A recurring theme in Bureaucracy Busters is frustration over the slow, paper-based processing of travel expenses and reimbursements. Procurement Contracting and Payment Services heard you, and an electronic solution is coming.
Starting this summer, PCPS will roll out MyExpenses, WVU’s version of a commercial product called Chrome River. With MyExpenses, you’ll be able to take photos of your receipts and upload them to the system. Per diems and mileage rates will be built in, so you’ll no longer have to calculate those on your own.
You’ll also be able to delegate your reconciliations to your administrative assistant, EBO (Expert Business Office) or anyone else you choose, just as you do now. The forms will be automatically routed to the right people for approval.
