Kindergarten students get an up-close look at Potomac State College horses

Lakyn Bush
Lakyn Bush carefully pets Dixie, one of the many Quarter Horses stabled at the Indoor Riding Arena at WVU’s Potomac State College. Bush, along with other kindergarten students, recently visited the campus where they toured the library, a biology lab, the engineering department, and of course – the farm. “The children always enjoy the various activities arranged for them, like interacting with the professors and petting the horses,” stated Ruth Upton, coordinator of the event and assistant professor of education at the College.
