New Student Orientation 2017 will kick off next week with two sessions specifically for freshmen admitted into the Center for Learning, Advising and Student Success. These sessions will be held April 21 and April 24 with 75 students per session.
Larger NSO sessions will be held every weekday in June with a capacity of 225 students per day. Students who need to take the ALEKS math and chemistry placement assessment should register and attend the NSO Overnight program. They will take their assessment, enjoy an evening at the Rec Center, meet other new Mountaineers and spend the night in Lincoln Hall. Those not needing to take ALEKS can attend an NSO One Day or NSO Overnight Basecamp, where they can spend the day doing low and high ropes course programming before registering for classes the next day. NSO Overnight Basecamp will be every Sunday - Monday and Wednesday - Thursday throughout the month of June. Honors-only NSO sessions will be held June 1, 2, 7, and 22.
