WVU Continuing Professional Education is offering an American Sign Language course on the Evansdale Campus, March 16-April 20. Taught by Cyndi Shaver, M.S. in Deaf Education, the class will be held each Thursday from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. in Room 711 Allen Hall. This is an introduction to the language and culture for the deaf community in the United States, with an emphasis on the study and practice of basic American Sign Language skills. Students will gain skills in both expressive and receptive sign language.
