CARE Team launches - faculty/staff encouraged to share concerns

Two girls talking

The safety and success of students at WVU is a critical area of importance for all of us. WVU has developed a campus CARE Team whose central mission is to provide early identification of at-risk behaviors that impacts a student’s ability be successful and safe on campus. The multidisciplinary Team receives concerns from the larger community and then works with the student to ensure they are connected with the appropriate resources. The CARE Team is focused on bringing together key departments on campus to work collaboratively and proactively to provide early intervention and assistance to students who need help.

What the CARE Team needs most from the WVU community is a willingness to share behaviors or things they notice around campus that concern them. The Team will take reports and develop intervention strategies as needed to help address the situation.  To submit a referral or learn more about our team, please visit careteam.wvu.edu.  Thank you for your help in supporting our WVU students and ensuring we have a safe and supportive community.
