Take Me Home Soda Shoppe & Creamery to hold ribbon-cutting ceremony

d

The campus community is invited to an official grand opening and ribbon-cutting ceremony for the Mountainlair’s new sweet spot at 1 p.m. Tuesday (Sept. 9).

Celebrating West Virginia pride, Take Me Home Soda Shoppe & Creamery serves local A.F. Wendling ice cream and specialty dirty sodas — unique combinations of familiar beverages, flavored syrups, sweet cream, and toppings.

The menu and concept were brought to life by four talented West Virginians. Richwood native Chef Noah Fraley developed the menu by blending classic favorites with rotating state-inspired flavors like Coal Rush, Wild and Wonderful, and Black Bear Tracks.

Buckhannon native Kylie Harrison refined the signature dirty soda lineup, while Summersville native Brennah Groves secured vegan options. Additionally, Morgantown native Danielle Rudash collaborated with the University to design marketing and create a student-focused environment.

The shop is open from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Friday.
