Meet the service dogs, learn more about their life-changing work, and tour the facility while enjoying refreshments from 5-7 p.m. Sept. 17 or from noon to 2 p.m. Sept. 20 at the Animal Sciences Farm.
The open house offers a unique opportunity for faculty, staff, students, and community members to see firsthand how these remarkable dogs are transforming lives and honoring the service and sacrifice of our nation’s veterans.
As a valued community partner, Hearts of Gold is dedicated to training and placing highly skilled service dogs with military veterans at no cost. These specially trained dogs provide support, independence, and companionship, helping veterans navigate daily challenges and enhance their quality of life.
The partnership between Hearts of Gold and WVU reflects the University’s commitment to serving West Virginia and beyond through innovation, outreach, and community engagement.
