Faculty are encouraged to apply to mentor undergraduates in scholarly activity via the SURE program and to inform their undergraduates that SURE applications are now open. The application deadline is March 2.
SURE is a paid undergraduate research experience for students interested in graduate school and research/creative work within their discipline or a related discipline. 2020 SURE program dates are May 26-July 24, 2020.

1) Due to funding limitations, participation in the funded portion of WVU SURE may be limited to one time per undergraduate.
2) The NSF-funded KY-WV LSAMP Alliance provides funding to support an additional 5+ undergraduate STEM majors in SURE who are also (i) underrepresented persons (e.g., Hispanic, African-American) and (ii) U.S. citizens/permanent residents of U.S. or its territories. WVU students who fit these demographics are encouraged to apply to SURE.
