The Day of Giving, a 24-hour online fundraising effort today (Nov. 13) is a simple way for West Virginia University supporters to contribute to the institution.
Several alumni and friends have issued challenge and participation matches for the 24-hour online fundraising effort designed to raise dollars for the University’s greatest priorities and opportunities, as well as scholarships and unrestricted funds at both the University and unit specific level.
Additionally, WVU Medicine Children’s, the state’s only Children’s Miracle Network Hospital, has partnered with Nexstar Media Group to host a Mediathon in conjunction with the WVU Day of Giving to raise funds that will help patients and families in need of life-changing care.
Initial fundraising for a Mountaineer Marching Band practice facility will also begin today as part of WVU Day of Giving.
