Office of Graduate Education and Life to host Professional Development Workshop on Mentoring

The Office of Graduate Education and Life will host a Professional Development Workshop for Faculty Relationships Oct. 26 from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. in room 120 of the Advanced Engineering Research Building across from the Evansdale Library.

Paul Hernandez of the Department of Learning Sciences and Human Development and Natalie Shook of the Department of Psychology will lead participants in a discussion and activities on maximizing the quality of mentoring relationships between faculty and students.

The workshop will focus on designing and communicating clear goals for mentored research projects, considering a mentee’s expectations of their mentor, developing a mentoring compact, and aligning mentor-mentee expectations.
