Pediatric Grand Rounds to focus on substance exposed infants

The West Virginia Perinatal Partnership and the West Virginia Chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics present "Improving the Identification of Substance Exposed Newborns in WV" a pediatric grand rounds on Wednesday (Dec. 13) at 8 a.m.  

Presenters include Sean Loudin, MD with Hoops Family Children's Hospital at Cabell Huntington, Stefan Maxwell, MD from CAMC Women and Children's Hospital and Collin John, MD from WVU Department of Pediatrics.  

The presentation will focus on the pathophysiology of neonatal abstinence syndrome (NAS), challenges in tracking incidence rates of NAS and the use of Project WATCH to gather NAS surveillance data. The presentation will be held in Room 1901 of the Robert C. Byrd Health Sciences Center South building.
