WVU is accepting nominations for University’s highest service honor – Order of Vandalia

The University is accepting nominations for its highest service honor – the Order of Vandalia.

The award is given each year to persons who have provided extraordinary service to the University over many years. It will be presented during the induction ceremony, scheduled for June 2, 2018.

Nominees must be living and should be persons who have provided outstanding or distinguished service to WVU, either as a layperson or as a member of the University faculty or staff. No one will be inducted into the Order of Vandalia who is currently serving on the WVU Board of Governors, the West Virginia Higher Education Policy Commission or while holding elected office.

Faculty or staff members are not eligible for induction until the year following their retirement.

The nomination forms and supporting documentation can be submitted online via the website, by e-mail, or through the mail at PO Box 6677, Morgantown, WV 26506-6677.

Nominees should not be told they are being nominated. The deadline for submissions is Dec. 29.
