WVU to host more than 70 employers at the WVU Career & Internship Fair

Students and alumni are encouraged to attend the Career & Internship Fair Sept. 27 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Mountainlair Ballrooms. More than 70 nationwide employers from diverse industries, government agencies and non-profit sectors will recruit for summer internships and full-time employment opportunities.

Employers include: Acadia Healthcare, Eaton, FBI, Mylan, Peace Corps, PepsiCo, Procter and Gamble, Randox, United Bank, U.S. Department of State and more.

Career fairs are not just an information gathering event; in fact, many employers will stay on-campus the next day to interview students that they met at the fair,” said Sarah Rotruck Glenn, associate director of the Career Services Center. “Students need to arrive ready to network—this includes dressing professionally, having a polished resume and a 30 to 60 second elevator pitch ready to deliver.”

Professional attire is required. To prepare, students should review strategies for effectively working a career fair at http://careerservices.wvu.edu/students/how-to-work-a-career-fair.

A complete list of participating employers is available in MountaineerTRAK.
