Reminder: Slate closure planned June 1

On June 1, the Slate content management system will be shut down permanently.

Any websites remaining in slate will become unavailable to both public HTTP access and to administrative access via slate CMS. If you have remaining websites on slate that need to be moved, contact your professional technologist/designer or site administrator now to begin the process of migrating those sites to CleanSlate CMS which is housed in the Cloud.

Student Organization website owners should submit a website request now if their website still runs on slate. This step is required to begin the process of moving your student organization website to CleanSlate CMS.

This three-year effort to move over 600 websites and applications has been a joint effort of University Relations-Digital Services, website owners and the professional technologists/designers in colleges, schools and departments.

If you have questions, contact cathy.orndorff@mail.wvu.edu or jay.allen@mail.wvu.edu .
