Kristina Hash, Professor of Social Work and Director of the Gerontology Certificate Program, joined five other social work educators from across the country to produce the Specialized Practice Curricular Guide for Gero Social Work Practice. The work was sponsored by the The John A. Hartford Foundation, the Social Work Leadership Institute, and the Council on Social Work Education Gero-Ed Center. The curriculum content and teaching materials outlined in this guide are tied to the national social work competencies and are intended as resources to help programs conceptualize specialized practice in aging and infuse aging into their curricula.
