Dancing With Our Mountaineer Stars set for Saturday night

Dancing with our Mountaineer Stars

Come out and support your favorite WVU faculty, staff and students as they compete on the dance floor for the top three titles and the famous mirror ball trophies as part of WVUp All Night's "Dancing With Our Mountaineer Stars” competition. The event will be held on Saturday (Feb. 25) at 7:30 p.m. in the Mountainlair Ballrooms.  Doors open at 7 p.m. Contestants in the competition include:

  • Kimbraly Kettler:  Cincinnati Dance Team and Cheerleader for the Cincinnati Bengals and Kansas City Chiefs
  • Randall Reid-Smith:  Commissioner of the West Virginia Division of Culture and History and an international career as an operatic tenor
  • Bill Ayers:  Retiree of the West Virginia School of Engineering and Couples Dance Instructor with BOPARC
  • Julie McKinney:  Former WVU Cheerleader, ballet teacher with 30 years of experience, soloist with the Charleston Ballet Company and Charleston Light Opera Guild
  • Jackie Riggleman:  Assistant General Manager with the WV Black Bears, trained in dance for 14 years, Dancing With Our Mountaineer Stars Student Intern and Contestant


The top three awards will receive the coveted mirror-ball trophies.  The couple bringing in the most blood donors in the "Dancing With Our Mountaineer Stars Blood Drive" will receive commemorative plaques.  And, the couple bringing in the most votes from a Facebook poll at the event, will receive the highly-anticipated "People's Choice Award" plaques.

Come out and expect a great evening of talent and fun while supporting your fellow Mountaineers.
